नारायण नावाचा अर्थ आणि शिवनारायण नावामागील कथा - Aniruddha Bapu

या प्रवचनात सद्गुरु श्री अनिरुद्ध बापू ‘नारायण’ या नावाचा अर्थ स्पष्ट करतात. बापू सांगतात की 'नारायण' या नावाशी अनेक संदर्भ जोडलेले आहेत, पण श्रद्धावान भक्तांसाठी त्याचा खरा उपयोगी आणि सार्थक अर्थ या प्रवचनात उलगडतो.

यानंतर, ‘शिव-नारायण’ हे नाव कसे अस्तित्वात आले, याची कथा ते सांगतात. ही कथा ब्रह्मर्षी याज्ञवल्क्य यांनी एका गावातील आग विझवल्यापासून सुरू होते. त्यामुळे गावकरी त्यांना वंदन करू लागतात. परंतु, त्याच वेळी महर्षी भृगु तेथे येतात. ते नुकतेच वैकुंठातून परत येत असतात.

या कथेचा पुढचा भाग सांगण्यापूर्वी बापू एक मराठी म्हण सांगतात — ‘लाथ मारेन तिथे पाणी काढेन’, ज्याचा अर्थ असा की "मी कुठेही काहीही साध्य करू शकतो". ही म्हण पुढे ‘ॐ शिवनारायणाय नमः’ या मंत्राच्या मूळ कथेशी जोडली जाते. आणि तिथून ‘शिव-नारायण’ हे नाव कसे जन्माला आले, ते स्पष्ट होते.

यानंतर, बापू सांगतात की प्रत्येक मंत्रगजराच्या माळेनंतर एकदा ‘ॐ शिवनारायणाय नमः’ म्हणणे का महत्त्वाचे आहे, याचेही स्पष्टीकरण ते देतात.

प्रवचनाच्या शेवटी, सद्गुरु श्री अनिरुद्ध बापू श्रद्धावानांसोबत ‘ॐ शिवनारायणाय नमः’ हा जप पाच वेळा उच्चारतात.

In this Pravachan, Sadguru Shree Aniruddha Bapu starts with explaining the meaning of the name, 'Narayan'. Here, he also states that 'Narayan' has several references attached to its name, but the one useful in its true essence for the Shraddhavan Bhaktas is revealed during the discourse. 

He further narrates the story of how the name 'Shiva-Narayan' came into being. The story starts with Bramharshi Yajnavalkya extinguishing a village fire, which causes the villagers to start paying obeisance to him. However, Maharshi Bhrugu arrived at the place in due course. Moreover, he had only visited Vaikuntha just then and was returning from there. 

Before narrating the next part of the story, Sadguru Shree Aniruddha Bapu also cites the Marathi idiom 'लाथ मारेन तिथे पाणी काढेन', which loosely means 'I can achieve anything, anywhere'. The idiom then shifts into the main premise of the story of 'Om Shivanarayanaya Namah'. The premise of the story tells us how the name 'Shiva-Narayan' came into being. 

Furthermore, Sadguru Shree Bapu also tells about the significance of chanting 'Om Shivanarayanaya Namah' once after each Mala of the Mantragajar. 

Later, Sadguru Shree Aniruddha Bapu also chants the Jap 'Om Shivanarayanaya Namah' 5 times with Shraddhavans.
