Countless Anubhavs about Udi
It is a strong belief and experience of Shraddhavans that applying Udi helps in giving spiritual strength to their efforts to solve any problems at the human level.
Shraddhavans have experienced relief from illness, protection in danger, clarity in confusion, and strength during distress, all through the simple act of applying or consuming this sacred Udi with unyielding faith. Applying Udi to the forehead and throat region holds profound spiritual significance.
Sadguru Aniruddha Bapu always encourages us to carry Udi when we travel or step out of the house. This very Udi becomes a spiritual companion and works as our protector.
The Udi is placed in the Udikund, and any Shraddhavan may personally take it with their own hands at any moment. There are no restrictions, no formalities, and no limitations on the quantity one may receive. Shraddhavans are free to take the Udi home, preserve it, apply it and share it with loved ones.

The Udikund stands as a silent assurance that the Sadguru grace is continuously available to all, just as his presence is constant.
The sacred Udi is a living experience
In the Shri Sai Satcharitra, numerous instances highlight the divine efficacy of the sacred Udi. Nanasaheb Chandorkar’s daughter was enduring a life-threatening and prolonged labour. All available remedies had failed. At that critical hour, Shri Sainath sent Udi along with His Arati from Shirdi to Jamner, over a hundred miles away. The Udi was mixed in water and given to her with faith, while Baba’s Arati was sung. Within minutes, the severe crisis passed and she delivered safely. Through Udi, the dreadful becomes bearable, and what appears impossible becomes possible, for Udi is a living channel of Shree Saibaba's grace.
This episode powerfully affirms that Udi is not mere sacred ash. Shraddhavans believe that it carries divine blessings and grace.
Another incident in the Shri Sai Satcharitra beautifully illustrates the power and efficacy of Udi. On the death anniversary of Balaji Newaskar, far more guests arrived than had been invited, and the prepared food seemed insufficient. Distressed at the possibility of dishonour, Mrs Newaskar was advised by her mother-in-law to cover the vessels after placing Udi in them and to serve with faith, remembering Saibaba. Trusting completely, she followed the instruction and to everyone’s amazement, not only did the food suffice for all, but a surplus remained.
Udi is not just sacred ash.
These accounts illuminate a profound principle: “As is the faith, so does the Udi work.”
When applied with faith, the sacred Udi calms the restless mind. When consumed with surrender, it strengthens inner resilience. When carried with remembrance, it acts as a shield. And when received with gratitude, it deepens bhakti.
A few years ago, Sadguru Aniruddha Bapu himself lovingly distributed this very Udi with his own hands at Shree Aniruddha Gurukshetram. For those who received the Udi from Him, that moment was truly beyond sacred. To receive the Udi directly from Sadguru Aniruddha was to receive his personal blessing, his compassionate touch and his silent assurance of protection. Since it is not possible for Sadguru Aniruddha Bapu to personally give Udi to every Shraddhavan, this sacred Udi is made available to all Shraddhavans through the Udi Kunda, with his blessings.
Shraddhavans would wait patiently for that sacred moment, and when the Udi was placed into their palms, it felt as though grace itself had descended. That simple act carried immense spiritual power. It strengthened faith, deepened surrender, and carved an indelible moment in the hearts of those present.
Ultimately, Udi teaches us that the Sadguru's grace is always available in a form that is simple, humble and powerful.
Udi is blessing. Udi is protection. Udi is reassurance. Udi personifies His grace, flowing incessantly.
