Every year, during the sacred and auspicious month of Margashirsha, Shraddhavans across the world celebrate Sachchidanandotsav with immense devotion, joy, and gratitude. The celebration begins on the second Saturday of the bright fortnight (Shukla Paksha) of the holy month of Margashirsha.

Throughout Sachchidanandotsav, Shraddhavans worship the Padukas with deep love and devotion by following the prescribed poojan given in the Sachchidanandotsav Upasana Booklet. The booklet contains the prescribed prayers for the occasion, along with the Aniruddha Atharvastotra and the Aniruddha Ashtottarashata Namavali, which form an integral part of this sacred Upasana.

The Padukas remain in the devotees' homes for one and a half days or five days, according to their convenience. During these blessed days, the home becomes a sacred abode where every act is performed with the awareness that the Sadguru Himself has graciously arrived. When the period of worship concludes, the Padukas are respectfully immersed through the sacred ritual of Punarmilapa. Though the physical Padukas are ceremonially immersed, the devotee's heartfelt prayer remains unchanged—that the grace, authority, loving presence, and companionship of the Sachchidananda Sadguru may continue to reside in their life forever.
