Marathi Pravachan by Sadguru Aniruddha Bapu on Trivikram Anant Namavali - 19th October 2023
Ashubhanashini Navratra is named for the destruction of Ravan, while Shubhankara Navratra marks Lord Ram's birth. There are four Navratras annually: Shubhankara, Ashubhanashini, Shakambhari, and Khandobachi. There is utsav on Champa Shashthi.
During Ashubhanashini Navratra, we pray to Maa Jagdamba to remove evil from our minds. You are the destroyer of all sins. Just as you eliminate inauspiciousness in the world, eliminate the negativity and harmful thoughts within us. Erase our wrong thoughts, wrong actions, and their consequences. Cleanse us of everything that is wrong and impure.
'Hari' is the one who nurtures growth, and 'Har' is the one who brings transformation through destruction. Both actions are interconnected, as old structures must be demolished to make way for new ones. Similarly, in our spiritual practice, it's not about copying others blindly but following our unique path. Each person's connection with Maa Jagadamba is different, but Her domain is rules, and that of Her son Trivikram is of love.
The Swayambhagwan Trivikram helps us acheive maximum purification of the mind. Trivikram, the embodiment of both Hari and Har, works tirelessly to protect us from the realm of rules. Trivikram is described as the One who transcends dualities like good and bad, day and night, sky and earth, north pole and south pole, man and woman, courage and fear, cleverness and stupidity, life and death, animate and inanimate, success and failure.
On Lalita Panchami, the significance of surrender and remembrance is emphasized. 'Lalita' means leela (pleasurable act of a deity). Despite life's challenges, never forget to remain connected to Him, for He is our ultimate love and support. Once surrendered to Him, He will never forsake you.
