Shree Tripada Gayatri Mahotsav - A Collective Upasana
For the worship of this very revered Gayatri Mata, the 'Shri Tripada Gayatri Mahotsav' was organised under the guidance of Sadguru Shri Aniruddha Bapu from 15th May 2004 to 17th May 2004 at Andheri Sports Complex, Mumbai.
During the Mahotsav, the continuous chanting of the Gayatri Mantra was carried out every day from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Over the course of the three days, the mantra was recited a total of 37,12,470 times. Lakhs of Shraddhavans participated in this Gayatri Purashcharana Yadnya with deep devotion and faith.
On the main stage, Sadguru Shree Aniruddha Bapu had installed a portrait of Gayatri Mata in Her Panchamukhi (five-faced) form. During all three days of the Mahotsav, Bapu also personally performed the Aarti of Gayatri Mata.

Tripada Gayatri mantra
During the Shree Gayatri Purashcharan Yadnya, the 'Tripada Gayatri Mantra' was chanted for all three days.
Tripada Gayatri Mantra :
ॐ भूर्भुवः स्वः तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यं |
भर्गो देवस्य धीमहि धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात् ॥
Om bhur-bhuvah svah |
Om tat-savitur-varenyam bhargo devasya dhimahi |
dhiyo yo nah prachodayat om ||
Meaning - We meditate on the great and eminent radiant energy that blazes down sin, the energy of Bhagwan Savitru. He is the One who is beyond the earth, the Antariksha and the Swarga, which are all born of the Pranav. May Bhagwan Savitru inspire our buddhi.
Although it is the human abilities of study, diligence and persistence that attain Her grace at the gross level, the fact remains that it is possible to be graced at the subtle level by Gayatrimata, only if the above abilities are accompanied by faith and only Her grace at the subtle level grants a state of firm, unshakable rootedness in a given field. Besides, as faith keeps sanctifying and purifying man, the grace of Gayatrimata at the causal level provides help to him by means of divine qualities.

Three Sadhanas to receive Gayatri Mata's Grace
Following are three means of receiving the grace of Gayatrimata:
- The continuous and uninterrupted recitation of Shreegayatrimantra 108 times at the brahmamuhurta (ब्राह्ममुहूर्त, i.e. the time period between 3.20 am and 4.40 am) is considered extremely auspicious and sacred and so suitable for the upaasana.
- The recitation of Shreegayatrimantra 24 times each, in three sessions of the day, after a bath in each session.
- The unwavering, firm and singularly focused bhakti of the Son of Shreegayatrimata.
Chanting this Tripada Gayatri Mantra daily with love and pure intent is itself the highest form of worship of the Gayatri form. Due to the chanting of the Gayatri Mantra, the ordinary intellect of even an ordinary human progressively evolves, and that itself is the path of true welfare".

The Sacred Mantra of the Sadguru
On another side of the Utsav venue, the recitation of the Sadguru Gayatri Mantra was being carried out. This Sadguru Gayatri Mantra is as follows:
ॐ मनः प्राणः प्रज्ञा ।
ॐ तत्गुरुदत्तस्य सौम्यं स्निग्धं गुरुर्तेजो धीमहि ।
रामे चित्तलयः भवन्तु नः ओजः अनिरुद्धरामः प्रचोदयात् ॐ ॥
Om manah pranah pragnya |
Om tat gurudattasya, saumyam snigdham gururtejo dhimahi |
rame chittalyah bhavantu nah, ojah aniruddharamah prachodayat om ||
After completing the recitation of the Tripada Gayatri Mantra, the Shraddhavans would come here and, with deep devotion and reverence, recite the Sadguru Gayatri Mantra as well.
