It would be wrong to say that I have been coming to Bapu for a long time. It is Bapu who pulls his bhaktas towards him at the apt time. My mother has been doing Bapu’s upasana regularly for the last 8-9 years without fail. Our entire family has faith in God.
On her insistence I would sometimes attend the Saturday’s upasana at the Ulhasnagar centre. While hearing Bapu’s pravachan CD it would create a deep impression on my mind. At times I would feel that Bapu is telling me and gradually my faith in Bapu strengthened. This experience of mine showed me that whoever has faith in Bapu definitely gets His support.
For my studies I was on the move from Ulhasnagar to Satara and also to Nandedtherefore I could not regularly attend the Saturday’s or Thursday’s upasana. But I can assure from my personal experience that once you consider Bapu as yours then even if you do not call him He takes care of you. He considers it as his responsibility.
As I was studying I could not regularly attend the upasana in Nanded and Satarabut I would regularly do the upasana at home.
It was in February 2006. I was in the first year of my post graduation Engineering. Along with a few friends we decided to go to Shirdi We had darshan of Saibaba and decided to go to Nasik to take darshan of Goddess Saptashringi. In the evening after the darshan we left from there to go to Nasik. It was around 8 o’clock at night and there were no S.T. buses so we decided to go by a ‘tum-tum’ (big rickshaw). We four friends sat on the last seat and a couple sat on the centre seat. The moment the driver started it he jumped over a speed breaker. I even mentioned to my friends that there seems to be some problem in the vehicle.
At about 9.30 – 10 at night the ‘tum-tum’ was travelling at a speed 35-40 kph. We were descending the Vanidevighat, as we came down the calamity struck……The driver lost control of the vehicle and our car turned turtle over a heap of pebbles. All the four tyres were in the sky and we fell on each other. We did know what happened but my friend kicked the door and it opened and all of us came out on the road.
The diesel tank burst and the diesel was leaking. The driver left the vehicle and ran away. After we had calmed down we were trying to analyse how it happened. We then realised that had it happened 2 minutes earlier we would have fallen 80-90 feet in the valley and then there were bleak chances of our survival. Probably in our destiny there was an accident but my Bapu lessened the intensity of it by it happening at a safe place. My Bapu had so easily extricated me from the jaws of death. In spite of this major accident none of hurt, not even bruised.
Bapuraya once we consider you as ‘ours’ how much you take care of us, protect us. We are reluctant to do upasana, do not chant your name yet you never forsake us.
……and when it happened the second time with apprehensive mind I totally surrendered to Bapu.
After this incident I had gone with my family in April 2006 to my native place, Phalton for the fair. From there we planned to go to Pandharpur and Tuljapur. Our entire family, ten of us went by car to Pandharpur. We had darshan and we started at 9 o’clock at night. Since it was late we decided to take a short cut to go back to Phalton. That road was about 20-30 kms. and by that road we would have reached Barshi. We were warned that it was a deserted road especially after 8 at night.
I had cautioned the driver to drive slowly but the driver insisted that he could see clearly at night so there was no problem. On that lonely narrow road he was driving at a speed of 60-70 kph. As I was tired I fell asleep.
We had hardly travelled and I got up hearing a loud bang. I did not understand what had happened. I got out of the car and went to the driver’s side. And then I realised that a big tractor-trailor had cut the car from the headlight to the taillight on the driver’s side. Had the car been slow it would have been disastrous and would have been also been fatal. Since the car was fast it did get stuck in the tractor but did not turn upside down.
There are no ‘ifs’ or ‘buts’ in Bapu’s grace. His grace is ever flowing. Inspite of such a severe accident no one was hurt. He keeps his promise.
