Mr. & Mrs. Parab were an old couple staying in the society just behind ours. On 13th July 2010 I heard from my friend that Mr. Parab had left home three days ago and not returned. I was shocked and could not imagine Parab aaji’s (granny) plight. Just then my friend mentioned that her husband, Shekhar Kode had met Suchit Dada regarding Aajoba (Mr. Parab) and he had told them to chant the Dattabavani . We decided that all of us would go to their place at 9 p.m. and chant the Dattabavani.
As decided all of us met at their place and chanted Dattabavani. I took Parab aaji to the 'devghar' in the home, applied udi and sincerely urged to Bapu, “Panduranga! O dear Bapuraya, O Aniruddha! May this udi which I am applying, reach aajoba (grandfather) wherever he is. May he be safe and in good health. May he come home to aaji.”
Then I comforted aaji assuring her that she was not alone, the entire Bapu family was with her. I told her to continue chanting and that Bapu was with Aajoba and would surely get him home soon. We came to the hall and I suggested that all of us chant ‘Sankatmochan Hanumanashtak’ stotra. We completed the chanting and the phone bell rang. Parab aaji answered the phone and started crying, she could not speak, we only heard her saying, “Are you fine? You are, aren't you?”
Later on we came to know that two young men had brought Aajoba to Rabale Police station at New Mumbai and the police had contacted Naupada police station at Thane. The call was from Naupada Police station, Thane and they asked us to pick up Aajoba from New Mumbai police station. On hearing this all of us were greatly relieved. Immediately Shekhar Kode left to pick him up. It was Bapu’s grace that he was fine in spite of the fact that he was away from home for 3 days and he had not taken his regular medicine or any food. It was truly amazing!
Our God, our Bapuraya is always eager to serve his bhaktas. I pray that I be at His lotus feet forever and Bapu keep enhancing my bhakti and seva.
