A million salutations to My Father Bapu and My Mother Nandaai.
My wife, Sneha and I, begin our day by chanting Bapu’s name. It gives us boundless joy and our day sails smoothly. Bapu has a prescient knowledge of any trouble or adversity His bhakta might have to bear. In this way, we are eternally indebted to Him. Bapu rushes to provide succor to any of his bhaktas, whenever they are in trouble. This is one such experience.
It was a Thursday, on September 23, 2010, and my wife and I were returning home after Bapu’s discourse. At around 12.45 in the night, our rickshaw had reached Jagdusha Nagar near the North Bombay High School in Ghatkopar. Suddenly, a dog appeared in front of our rickshaw. The driver swerved the rickshaw the other way but the rickshaw overturned in the process.
Both of us called out to Bapu loudly. The rickshaw had overturned but miraculously, my wife and I remained in the rickshaw. The driver was thrown out. By Bapu’s grace, no harm came to him. On seeing us unhurt, he remarked that we were safe because of our firm faith and devotion in Bapu. We knew it. It was only because of Bapu’s unconditional love that we had escaped unhurt.
I smiled and said to the driver that it was because of Bapu that we were safe. After the accident, my wife had suffered a minor injury to her hand and it was aching but only slightly.
As soon as we came back home, we started chanting Bapu’s name. My wife’s pain subsided eventually. Yet, the next day, we went to the doctor to get her hand examined. The doctor examined her and took an X-ray. After examining her report, the doctor told us that my wife’s hand was perfectly all right.
We pray to Bapu, who saved my wife, the rickshaw driver and me. We hope that He keeps us engaged in His bhakti and seva. A million salutations to Bapu from our entire family; including my children, Sanket and Sayli.
The one who holds on firm to the Sadguru's Feet and reposes trust in them,
Never meets with harm or ill. He always meets with joy for he is in the company of the One who is Joy.
