It is the Sadguru who draws his bhaktas towards him and that to at the time apt for that particular bhakta. My mother, Mrs. Anandi Yadav, and I have been a part of Bapu’s family and have been regularly doing Bapu’s upasana for the last 8-9 years. Also, all the other members of my family have immense faith in God.
As recommended by my mother I have been intermittently attending the upasana at the Ulhasnagar Upasana Centre on Saturdays. I thoroughly enjoy listening to Bapu’s discourse. At times I would feel that Bapu is telling my own experiences. So as the days progressed my faith in Bapu became stronger and firmer. Bapu showed me through this experience that a person who has unflinching faith on Bapu always gets His support.
For the last two to three years of my studies, I had to sometimes stay at Ulhasnagar, Satara or Nanded. Hence, I was not able to regularly attend the upasana on Saturdays. But, the moment you accept Bapu as ‘yours’ he takes your entire responsibility on his shoulders, irrespective whether you call him or not at that moment. This I can confidently say from my experiences.
Though, I could not attend the Upasana on Saturdays while I was in Satara or Nanded, I would regulary do the Upasana at home.
In February 2006, while doing my post graduation in engineering, I went to Shirdi along with some of my friends. After paying obeisance to Sai Baba at Shirdi we decided to go to Nashik to seek the blessing of Sapta Shrungi. We left Shirdi at around 8 pm and as there were no public buses available, we decided to take a ‘tum-tum’ (big rickshaw) to Nashik. Four of us sat at the back seat and a couple was sitting in the middle seat of the vehicle. As soon as the driver started the car, we hit a speed breaker. I had just told my friends that it looks like the driver is going to create some trouble.
At around 9.30 to 10 pm in the night, the tum-tum started descending the Vanidevi ghat with a speed of 35-40 kmph. And suddenly, the driver lost control of the steering wheel and after hitting a mound of pebbles the vehicle overturned. All of us were thrown on each other. For a moment, we did not understand what hit us. One of my friends kicked the rear door and we managed to come out.
The diesel tank had burst and the diesel was leaking. The driver had abandoned the vehicle and was nowhere to be seen. We pondered over what had happened and realized that had the car overturned two minutes earlier we would fallen around 70 to 80 feet down in the valley! Then it would have been impossible for us to survive. Bapu had ensured that the accident was mitigated and all of us had escaped unhurt.
Once we consider Bapu as ‘ours’ He always take care of us. Even though, the bhakta may do wrong, may not do the upasana yet He never forsakes the bhakta. After the second incident I unconditionally surrendered to Bapu.
In Aprl 2006, my family and I decided to go to our native town, Phaltan for the annual fair. After the fair we had decided to go to Pandharpur and Tuljapur. Our entire family, ten of us went to Pandharpur. After the darshan at around 9 p.m. we decided to take a shortcut to go back to Phaltan which was around 20 to 30 km. The road was totally deserted and we were told that after 8 pm there would be no traffic.
I had cautioned the driver to drive slowly but he was confident that he could drive safely at night. Since I was tired I fell asleep and the driver was driving at 60 to 70 kmph. on that lonely, narrow road.
Suddenly, I was awakened by a loud noise. I got down to examine what had happened and was stunned to see the sight. Our car had been cut, right from its headlights to its taillights, by a tractor. Had our speed been slower we would have been crushed by the tractor! As we were travelling at around 70 kmph the tractor had just cut the car and none us suffered any injuries.
Bapu’s grace is without any ‘ifs’ and ‘buts’; it is truly unstoppable (Aniruddha). The fact that we were saved without any injuries from such a life threatening incident is a true manifestation of His grace.
Truly, Bapu is the only Savior!
