I would like to share with you one such instance from my life and how my Sadguru Bapu salvaged me from a fatal adversity even before I realised it. Bapu as always lived up to His promise.

Travelling in Mumbai suburban trains during peak hours is indeed a great ordeal. Trains speeding into the stations, people alighting before it even slows down and passengers jumping through the train on the mob waiting at the doors before the trains stop.
It was October 30, 2009. I was on night shift. So I left from home in the evening to go to office. I was on customs duty at the international airport at Andheri. I boarded the train at Charni Road station. The train reached Andheri station at around 8 pm. It was a Borivli bound train and so it was all the more crowded.
Though I travel regularly in locals, I have not mastered the knack of hopping on and off the train during peak hours. I never even dared to stand on the footboard. As soon as train slows down, women start jumping off the train. But I get out of the train only when it stops. All this needs to be done in a fraction of time before passengers start hopping into the train.
On the evening of October 30, there were hardly 3-4 women before me to get off at Andheri. There was no one after me and so I had to by hook or by crook get off the train as soon as it slowed down at Andheri station else those boarding the train would not let me get off. I was panicked on seeing the crowd and the way people were getting in and out.
I gathered all the courage and stepped out of the train. But since I am not used to alighting from a slow moving train, I lost my balance and my other foot got trapped between the platform and train. Even today as I recollect the incident, I get goose bumps. My foot was trapped between the train and platform. I screamed. Women commuters guessed that something terrible had happened to me but they were in such a hurry to board the train that no one bothered to help me.
I could only imagine the dire consequences that I had to face as the train began to leave the platform. To add to my woes, my spectacles fell off as someone pushed me.
I was petrified at the thought of losing my leg, as I was sure that once the train leaves the platform, my leg would definitely break…But to my surprise I was standing on the platform on my feet with no one pulling me out of the situation. Someone came and handed over my lost spectacles to me.
I was startled, completely awestruck. I was standing on the platform for quite some time trying to figure out what actually transpired in the fraction of moment. What I distinctly remember was that my leg had got stuck between the platform and the train compartment and that no one had come to pull me out of that situation. But still I was safe and most importantly standing on my own feet without even a scratch on my body. I was only thanking Bapu for saving me from a major catastrophe. From this incident, I realised that He was aware of my misfortune and misdeeds and so He came to my rescue even before I called out to Him. He is omnipresent. It is on account of His unconditional and unreasoned love for His bhaktas that He comes even before His bhaktas call out to Him. In my situation, I did not even have the time to call out to Him but He was there for me.
According to the deeds of my past and present birth, I was destined to lose my leg in an accident. But since my Bapu was with me, no calamity can befall me. My Bapu will never forsake me.
