Be it a serious illness or a something as trivial as losing your wallet. 'He' does not make any distinction. For Him, it is plain and simple! My child needs Me, My child is calling out to Me, I just have to rush!.... and so He does. He always rushes to provide succor. For Him it is an equation but of love and so two and two on one side do not necessarily add up to four on the other.
Once a bhakta gives himself in trust and surrender at the feet of the Sadguru, the Sadguru ensures care and protection for the bhakta, at every step and at all times. Moreover in this era of the Kaliyug, the work load of my God, my Bapuraya has mounted enormously. Our mistakes, our careless lapses are followed by calls and cries to 'Him' and He invariably and surely answers the call, it just cannot be otherwise. It never was and never will be.
I am going to share with you, a very astounding incident. We live in London. In 2005 my 7 year old son and I were in India on vacation. However our joy was quite short-lived as we both went down with viral fever. We were to return home on the 18th but had to put it off to the 24th of February.
By the 22nd we were better and I decided to go shopping with my son in a taxi. The driver was a family acquaintance and we hired his cab every time we visited India – that was almost an unwritten rule.
This time too, we hired his cab. I set out with a wallet containing 15 pounds, a few credit cards and some phone numbers. On my way home I realised that my wallet was missing. I was very sure I had walked barely ten steps from the parked cab and this had happened in that little while. I got my father and my brother to accompany me to that spot but we did not find the wallet.
My family was dejected. My mother could not sleep properly that night. Next day, being Thursday, we all went to Bandra for Bapu’s discourse. When I went to take His darshan, I prayed, ”Bapu I have lost my wallet. But that is the least of my worries. You have given me so much in life. The wallet is less than a trifle in relation. All I ask for, are Your blessings. May I always have them Bapu. That is my only prayer at Your Feet."
The next day the phone rang as I was chanting the Ramraksha like I always do. My sister-in-law answered it. My brother was on the line. What he said left me stunned!
He said he had got a call from Happy Home informing him that a Bapu bhakta had found the wallet lying on a railway track. He saw Bapu and Nandai's photograph in it and handed it over to the security personnel at happy Home.
Fortunately for us, Rajendrasinh Javale knew us. He checked the visiting cards inside and called my brother. After confirming our identity he asked us to collect the wallet. I collected the wallet. The money was missing but then all was well because it had ended well. Bapu had ensured the 'happy ending'.
Perhaps I had gotten away with a slight bruise when I was destined for something more severe!
My Bapu was with me all along. I knew it and trusted it.
All we need to do, is submit the two ‘coins’ of faith and endurance to Bapu and out of sheer love and compassion for us, He takes our care....all through our life.
An ocean of Joy always He is,
Love and Grace boundless he is
Cares and protects always He does
Infinite compassion always He gives.
